Upstream Optimization Suite

The Upstream Optimization product Suite (UOS) consists of a set of integrated tools for field-wide production analysis from sandface-to-surface facilities. The main product, PIPEPHASE, provides a comprehensive and rigorous modeling capability for steady-state, multiphase flows in oil and gas gathering networks and pipeline systems. The suite supports unidirectional data sharing and exchange with many legacy systems including; DCS, PLC, SCADA and data historians.

The Upstream Optimization product Suite’s integrated approach allows time-sensitive process conditions and events to be factored into on-line optimization models. Also, integrated data reconciliation fosters statistical detection and elimination of gross data errors or ‘drift’.

Integration with ROMeo allows on-line optimization to determine the asset status before simulations are run. In this manner line-up changes and well work-over schedules are automatically implemented so that the model of the asset reflects the actual field configuration.

The Upstream Optimization product process engineering software Suite incorporates a COM-compliant Applications Programming Interface (API) for integration with third-party tools. This API has been adapted to integrate UOS with the PRO/II process simulator for production system modeling.
