In July 2011, the United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) enacted new regulation, The Cross State Air Pollution Rule (CSAPR), that implements stricter emissions standards with the goal of reducing the emission of pollutants such as NOx and SOx. Starting in 2012, power producers in 27 states primarily east of the Mississippi are required to reduce their emissions of NOx, SOx, and other components beginning in 2012. Starting in 2012, power producers in 27 states east of the Mississippi are required to reduce their emissions of NOx, SOx, and other components beginning in 2012.
One avenue to compliance is for power producers to install expensive pollution reducing equipment such as scrubbers or selective catalytic reduction (SCR) systems.
Another, more financially responsible and quicker pathway to compliance is applying Invensys’ proven advanced process control (APC) technology.
How do you plan on complying with CSAPR?
Let Invensys’ APC solution help, and take comfort in the faction that you are making significant progress towards CSAPR compliance for fraction of pollution-reducing equipment cost in short time.
