Raja Ramana Macha
Senior Vice President, Research and Development

 Raja Ramana Macha is senior vice president, research and development, of the Invensys Operations Management division of Invensys plc, responsible for product development in the Enterprise Control Systems domain.

Macha has more than 20 years of manufacturing, software development, engineering and IT outsourcing industry experience. Prior to joining Invensys, he served as chief operating officer for Geometric Ltd., a Mumbai, India-based engineering software, solutions and services firm. In that role, he managed a $100 million engineering and manufacturing software development organization with more than 1,400 employees and operations in the United States, Europe, China and India, focusing on improving and developing products, software and engineering content.

Before that, Macha was director, consulting, sourcing & manufacturing and PLM solutions for Tata Consultancy Services. In that position, he was responsible for delivering solutions around supply chain, product lifecycle management and business transformation into the automotive, aerospace, pharmaceutical, oil, utilities and engineering markets, overseeing a global operation with revenues of $70 million.

Macha began his career at Telco, now Tata Motors, where he developed hardware products, including data communication, machine controllers and security hardware; developed software applications, including enterprise supply chain, product data management and optimization; and implemented and managed complex computing and network environments as a systems designer, administrator and maintenance engineer. He also developed a low-cost supply chain operation for cars; managed production planning and capacity management; and managed a 5,000-user SAP implementation and IT systems project.

He has a Bachelor of Engineering degree in electronics and communications and a Master Diploma in Business Administration. He joined Invensys in July 2010 and is based in Lake Forest, California.
