Franco Restelli
Region President, Middle East

Franco Restelli is President of Invensys Operations Management, Middle East, responsible for all direct and indirect sales, including regional marketing communications, engineering delivery, project and consulting services, and Enterprise Client Executives and Client Executives.

He joined Invensys in 1998 as Managing Director of the company’s Italian operations, expanding activity in the Mediterranean area and supporting the SCADA business acquisition from GE. In 2002 he became Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Invensys Process Systems in Europe, Middle East and Africa, expanding the company’s presence in North Africa and the Caspian regions and consistently generating double-digit orders growth in the region. In 2005 he was promoted to Deputy President, EMEA, and Vice President, Western Europe, with full responsibility for the company’s operations in Western Europe and Africa, realizing the transformation of the region in a fully integrated and functionally aligned area.

Prior to his current role, Restelli served as Vice President, Global Technical Competitiveness, responsible for delivery, manufacturing and R&D transformation plans aimed at gaining competitive advantage while reducing cost and assets investment and exploring innovative partnership opportunities.

Before joining Invensys, Restelli served as BU Manager, Tooling & Blocks Production Lines, for the Fiat Group in Turin, Italy. He was also Sales Director for the Swiss-Italian Gavazzi Engineering Group and a Project Manager for Philips Automation.

He is member of The Council for the United States and Italy Relationships, the Ambrosetti - European House and is on the Board of the AIDIC (the Italian Chemical Engineers Association). He completed his secondary studies in Bogotá, Colombia, and his undergraduate studies at the Politecnico di Milano in Italy.
